Managing Law Firm Records in the Digital Age.  Law firms have many considerations when it comes to their records including protecting their clients’ information from security breaches.  Join us as Ed Carroll discusses specific concerns related to law firm records and how to properly manage them from when a client first comes in, through case management and closure, and finally, to proper storage and destruction.  He’ll discuss technology options that can help through the information management lifecycle and of which potential concerns to be aware.

Ed Carroll is the Chief Information Officer for the national law firm of Dinsmore & Shohl LLP.  Carroll provides leadership for the continued development of a stable and secure technology environment.  His primary responsibilities include setting strategic direction and tactical planning for the technology of the firm, the delivery of IT infrastructure and services, information security and compliance, and managing the firm’s technology budget.  Carroll also has responsibilities overseeing the Firm wide Records Department.

Ed is an Information Technology professional with over 20 years of law firm experience and has an extensive background in building and restructuring IT departments to increase service levels and efficiencies.  He has a B.S. in Business Information Systems and is a U.S. Navy veteran.
